My online handle has been variations of Starboy for nearly a decade.
Here's why:



Home Movies was a fantastic and hilarious animation about little kids making, you guessed it, home movies. The hook was that the kids experienced and interpreted their problems like adults, while the adults were childish and generally being awkward/screwing up. See: Coach McGuirk.
Brendon Small came up with the series and wrote all the music; pardon me, all the excellent music, including rock operas about Franz Kafka and sweet little licks like the above setting up the kids' make-believe superhero show, Starboy And The Captain Of Outer Space. And regardless of how funny the actual show was (very), it was the music that stayed in my head for years. So, in homage to a ridiculous character and his ridiculous theme, I adopted the alias Starboy.
